Dr. Hamid Tajbakhsh, BSc., ND

Residing in Burnaby since the young age of sixteen, Dr. Hamid Tajbakhsh has always been passionate about the healing and self-correcting mechanisms of the human body. Dr. Hamid is very excited to now have the pleasure of serving the Burnaby community, a community he has been a member of for over two decades.


Dr. Hamid graduated from the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine at the top of his class being awarded the Academic Excellence Award. Previously, he had completed his post-secondary education at UBC majoring in Biology with a minor in Psychology after being awarded an entrance scholarship into his program of studies.


Dr. Hamid has always been interested in furthering his education and has taken on extra-curricular programs and focus areas such as delving deeper into the studies of Chinese Medicine & Applied Kinesiology. Dr. Hamid has developed an unconventional approach to acupuncture he has named AKiMCA ensuring gentle insertion of a minimal number of needles with no excessive needle manipulation. Dr. Hamid is also well versed in fascial techniques such as Bowen Therapy and Craniosacral Therapy which are gentle non-invasive procedures designed to normalize body functions and help break the body out of repetitive pain patterns. These techniques coupled with Eastern & Western herbal formulas, homeopathy, and nutritional optimization allow Dr. Hamid the ability to facilitate healing and provide exceptional care to his patients.

Memberships and Affiliations


Dr. Hamid is a registrant of the College of Naturopathic Physicians of British Columbia (CNPBC) where he also serves as an assessor to the Quality Assurance Committee helping to maintain a high practice standard for Naturopathic Doctors in BC.


Dr. Hamid is a member of the British Columbia Naturopathic Association (BCNA) and a member of the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND).


Dr. Hamid also serves as a clinical faculty member at the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine (BINM) where he supervises 3rd and 4th year naturopathic clinic interns.


Dr. Hamid works alongside talented practitioners (Chiropractor and Massage Therapist) of Metrotown Family Chiropractic.



Ladan Mohammadi, R.Ac., PhD.

Ladan Mohammadi is a registered acupuncturist who graduated from the International College of Traditional Chinese Medicine of Vancouver where she completed the Acupuncturist program and graduated at the top of her class.


Ladan moved to Burnaby about 10 years ago before which she was completing her PhD at the University of British Columbia. Since then, Ladan has been on a journey towards understanding and examining various paths for health and well-being. Understanding how to rejuvenate and revitalize the body so it can function optimally has been an ongoing pursuit for Ladan.


Ladan believes that despite natural processes of aging, genetic disposition, as well as various social and environmental stressors, our body and mind possess an innate potential to heal. Acupuncture can help stimulate this healing potential.
